What vitamins should I take while on the veggie fruit and tuna diet?

Posted on September 6th, 2010 by admin in vitamins | 2 Comments »

I plan on eating lots of fruits, veggies, tuna, boneless skinless chicken breast, and boiled eggs. Possibly whole wheat bread too. I can’t bring myself to drink plain water regularly, so I will be drinking propel water or juice most of the time (unless you have a healthier suggestion). So, my question is what vitamins would I be missing out on with this diet? Any suggestions on a multivitamin or anything of the sort? Also, any suggestions on the best types of fruit and veggies to eat would be awesome. Thank you!

I think for women, a multi-vitamin designed specifically for women (ex. One-a-day’s Women) is best. I currently take a generic women’s multi-vitamin, and every since I have started taken it, I feel much better mentally. If you are trying to lose weight, check out this http://ifinallydidit.wordpress.com/. I lost 40lbs. It really does help me not overeat. It’s awesome, and I don’t think I woulda been able to lose 40lbs of grossness without it. Good luck to you! :)

Hulk Hogan, Vince McMahon, Lord Alfred Hayes and “VITAMINS”

With all the controversy surrounding Wrestling and Steroids right now i thought this would be a very interesting WWE(F) clip to show from the 80’s.

Some very peculiar quotes:

“…once you get these on your system there’s no stoppin’…”

“…these things are guaranteed to keep you going all day long…”

and my favorite:

“…it will change your life, you will grow six inches over night…”

What kind of vitamins or foods would increase my energy levels?

Posted on September 1st, 2010 by admin in vitamins | 3 Comments »

Im only 21 but Im usually dead tired. I don’t know what kind of vitamins I should take or what kinds of food I should eat to increase my energy levels. I drink lots of milk and eat lots of cereals. Should I just eat more than I eat now(coz I hardly eat) or should I start taking vitamin pills.
Also, witch type of foods should I eat for my brain and working memory to be functioning at its best?

This is a good question, an important question for all of us. Hippocrates, the father of medicine, said, "Let your food be your medicine." Our bodies have evolved over many millenia to convert food to the chemicals needed for optimal functioning.

There are many foods which boost energy levels. Watch the energy foods slide show posted below on the medicine.net site. Foods highlighted there include; apples; whole grains; nuts, especially almonds, brazil nuts, hazelnuts and cashes: lean meats like chicken and turkey; salmon and other omega-3 rich fish like sardines and mackerel; leafy greens like spinach and romaine lettuce; fiber, from sources like beans and vegetables; fresh produce; coffee, in moderation; tea, especially black and green; dark chocolate.

Eat frequent small meals if energy is a problem for you. Also, start the day with a nutrient-dense breakfast, like a fruit smoothie mixed with a raw egg and a couple of slices of whole wheat toast with blueberry preserves. Drink lots of water too. This is so important to maintain energy levels.

As far as vitamins are concerned, the B vitamins are the ones to pay closest attention to, especially vitamin B-12. Madonna swears by her vitamin B-12 shots, and medical science too recognizes the importance of this vitamin.

Finally, consistent exercise will help you. Try to find something you enjoy and stick with it, something that uses all the muscles of your body rhythmically, like swimming, cross-country skiing or aerobic dancing.

I hope this helps. Vince Lombardi once said, "Fatigue makes cowards of us all." Yet, when we have enough energy, it seems we can do virtually anything.

What kind of vitamins are good for a teenage girl to take?

Posted on August 29th, 2010 by admin in vitamins | 5 Comments »

I want to start taking vitamins because I’ve been feeling a little off lately and I think taking the right dose of vitamins might help, I don’t think I’ve been eating too healthy. I’m fifteen and can take pills easily. I’ve heard Omega-3 is good, but I’d also like to hear others and what kind of amounts are right.

It depends what you are referring to as good. By good vitamins I imagine you mean organic natural vitamins and not the synthetic stuff. Organic are gentle on the stomach and have a higher absolution rate. I would go with Nutrilite. They have organic farms in Washington State and California and were the first supplement company. As far as an organic multivitamin for teens, take Nutrilite Daily Multivitamin/Multimineral for something simple. Go to http://Arcameda.com and click on vitamins then Multivitamin to get more information on these. As you can see, there are many categories so you may also want to consider Nutrilite Fruits and Vegetables. If you have any further questions, go to my profile to email me. Hope all is well.

What are the best brand of vitamins that don’t have filler and have the purest and largest amount in them?

Posted on August 23rd, 2010 by admin in vitamins | 3 Comments »

I know most vitamins you get a drug stores only contain about 20% of what is needed because most of them are filler. Whats a good vitamin brand that is fairly inexpensive that is the vitamin in it’s purest form, or has the least amount of filler and most amount of product???And where do i get them?

Cheaper is not always better. I’ve use CNCA (www.CNCAhealth.com) for years for the very reasons you mentioned — very pure vitamins with no fillers. There are others, CNCA is one of the very few brands I trust, and I’ve done lots and lots of research. I hope that helps.

CURE FOR SWINE FLU? VITAMIN D CAN FIGHT OFF H1N1 VIRUS

Posted on August 21st, 2010 by admin in vitamins | 25 Comments »

Vitamin D can help fight off disease and illness in the body and has been suppressed in the medical field and out of public domain because vitamin D can naturally be given to us by the sun. If everyone knew vitamin D can cure and help fight off illnesses then the pharmaceutical companies and big businesses would lose money because you are no longer buying their drugs or useless sunscreen, which in actuality is more dangerous for you. Studies have shown that when sunscreen was introduced – the rate of skin cancer began to rise.
