How can Republicans advocate for their healthcare needs if they believe falsely that the government runs it?

It’s critical that they understand that they will need to continue to advocate to the insurance companies for their healthcare and that of loved ones since it will be run by insurance companies, not the government. False information can be costly when it comes to health issues. Many are under this false impression about the government running it?

Because they still have enough information on other aspects to make decisions.

Good question by the way.

It surprises me that so many Americans seem not to be aware about Obama’s healthcare plans [a]. During the election, he campaigned for these changes stating that he felt it was unfair to have a system where insurance companies try to escape paying claims and was elected to bring in changes [b].
First of all, too many people do not know that Obama wants to make insurance more available to all. His system is similar to that which works in Holland, Taiwan [c] and Switzerland. It works there and private healthcare companies provide most the insurance to the people there.
FACT – the USA spends more on healthcare PER PERSON than any other nation on the planet [d].
FACT – insurance companies admit that they push up costs, buy politicians and do not pay out for many claims when they should [e].
FACT – the US has higher death rates for kids aged under five than western European countries with universal health coverage [f].

That means that a dead American four year old would have had a better chance of life if they were born in Canada, France, the Netherlands, Cuba, Switzerland, Germany, Japan etc, all of which have universal health coverage. And no western European nation with universal healthcare has moved away from it. And the sad thing is, that the insurance companies have spent loads of money to fight these reforms [g] and loads of politicians are taking the thirty pieces of silver from them to fight the reforms, rather than fight for the health of the American people.

Remember, I back my facts up with evidence. Those who say they are wrong tend not to. If they are wrong, e-mail me with proof and let me know.

Many prefer to just recite the rhetoric about Health Care Reform. If they have a policy today, to hell with the bigger picture.

They could be 1 day away from seeing the reality of Health Care in this country and how the Insurance companies can ruin the rest of your life with their exclusions and total rejection of issuing policies, regardless of your ability to pay the premiums.

READ the health care bill. Insurance companies will be highly regulated compared to today’s environment. Minimum coverages will be set by regulators and insurance companies will have to answer to patient/subcriber complaints about medical necessity decisions to the regulatory agencies as well as to the patients. Coverage decisions will become fodder for the political grist mill. If you don’t think that equates to government control can we at least agree that there will be an unprecedented level of government influence over the health care insurance industry, regardless of whether you believe that this influence is warranted or not?

Yes, and liberals are under the false impression that private companies will still be able to compete in the future. Liberals can deny that all they want. Some do out of ignorance while some do it to confuse the masses, knowing that it is but continuing to act as if it never will.

No.. you’re just coming from the narrow-minded or short-sighted camp of people. What the legislation does is make it unreasonably costly to offer health insurance to employees or offer low cost plans. What will happen is that people will get dumped by their employer then find themselves unable to find any qualified private plans within their budget. So they will end up with the government as their only option.

That’s the entire point of Obamacare. It sets up the health care industry for collapse in order to force everyone into dependence on the government for health insurance. Then government will say "oh but we have to help all these people because the private industry failed them" when in fact it was government intervention that killed the availability of affordable insurance.

Government is placing new regulation on how insurance companies do business. For every new guideline, there will be a new and unanticipated loophole… possibly making things worse than they already were. Don’t be fooled into believing that government intervention isn’t happening, or that it’s always a good thing. Just wait. Give it time to be fully in effect and you’ll see the shortcomings of the brilliant plan. It happens every time government implements a plan designed to protect us.
