@BBmyQ But some … @BBmyQ But some people dont work for smaller companies and dont get health benifits. It’s not their fault they can’t afford to go to college and get schooling to get a better job. Also, our system discourages the entrepreneurial sprit that America was founded on becuase it tells people “Don’t start your own business, you won’t be insuredI understand that you dont want to be on the hook for people that make dumb health decisions, but health care is a right that everyone deserves.
Why are Americans … Why are Americans so reluctant to adopt universal healthcare? They’re the most powerful country in the world, and despite their huge defence budget and generous bailouts of the financial services sector, they can’t afford to pay the medical bills of their poorest. Yet Obama tries to bring them into line with the rest of the developed world and people protest? It’s strange, and a bit backward.
Sorry bunky, you … Sorry bunky, you screw up daily and this ramming down the throats of the populace will stop soon hopefully. Should have been insurance regulation reform seeing as America has the finest…whoops, make that read America HAD the finest health care on the planet. You really ought to pay attention to what your pal Soros had all over his funded websites about the President paying attention to the polls because you sir are missing the boat. Welcome to your one and only term.
Like this is going … Like this is going to help. OH LOOK, NOW I CAN PAY SO THAT WHEN NIGGA JAMAL LOUIS OVERDOSES ON SHROOMS, HE KNOWS SOMEONE ELSE IS PAYING FOR IT.
Most “jobs” have benefits, such as HEALTHCARE and DENTAL/EYE ETC.
If you don’t “WORK” (Have a job you actually do and are employed) You dont get BENEFITS.
It’s easy! This is just a step closer to communism. (And no, im not another “hick” spouting about socialism and communism.)
@Trustisaliability … @Trustisaliability
I will have to agree with you on this one 100%.
There are so many of the very wealthy in our country that have no clue as to how bad it is for the poor. If anyone wants to find out all you have to do is be a volunteer to help in many of the home repair organizations for the poor.
So many have to live in cardboard shacks while others have to determine how to hide their money so it won’t be taxed. The wealthy needs to share more of the cost instead of the middleclass.
@pmango1000 Final … @pmango1000 Final comment. A higher marginal tax on the super rich means they are still super rich. Using that money for eg. to temp. extend unemp. benefits is humane and a better stimulus.
Let’s make it clear, before you get a chance to predictably distort that comment, that there will still be rich & poor & no one is even remotely suggesting we try to make everyone equal.
@pmango1000 I’ve … @pmango1000 I’ve wasted enough time on you. There are already sufficient no. of your comments & my replies for any open-minded reader to judge who has the better grasp of issues, & who is just repeating what they have heard on sources like Fox.
I’m deleting any more sewage from you from my in-box.
@pmango1000 The U.S … @pmango1000 The U.S. has one of the widest rich-poor gaps of any high-income nation, & it continues to grow. Prominent economists includingAlan Greenspan warned that the widening U.S. rich-poor gap is a prob. that could undermine and destabilize the U.S. economy and standard of living stating: “The income gap between the rich and the rest of the US pop. has become so wide, and is growing so fast, that it might eventually threaten the stability of democratic capitalism itself”.
@pmango1000 And, … @pmango1000 And, like Republican politicians, you seem to be looking out for the interests of the rich. (it’s one reason we can’t afford another Republican administration).
Are the rich doing so badly?
Read next comment…
@pmango1000 Oh so … @pmango1000 Oh so the banks get their money from the rich?
1) But you were trying to tell us a few comments ago that the rich invest their money, they don’t “save” it in banks.
2) One complaint about the banks getting the bailout money was that it the banks were not lending that money out.
3) Banks can borrow money from the federal reserve.
4) The rich have much of their savings ins stocks & bonds, & real estate etc.
The ordinary working family is more likely to bank any savings.
@megarational:LOL, … @megarational:LOL, & WHERE does the BANK get the $ from to lend it???? From the RICH, duh!!! Whether that Bank gets the $ from the FED, it comes from the RICH who buy TREASURY BILLS or banks get it from PRIVATE INVESTORS ie RICH…the bank has less to borrow from private investors if some COMMIE increases the rich’s taxes, its pretty simple. If the rich are overtaxed, guess what??? THEY NEED A HIGHER RATE OF RETURN FOR THEIR INVESTMENT THUS INCREASING THE COST of loans FOR EVERYBODY!!! u lose
@pmango1000
As for … @pmango1000
As for investment, if the DEMAND exists for widgets, some entrepreneur will build the widget factory even if they have to borrow the money to do so. It was one of the reasons for Obama propping up the financial institutions to prevent the full or even partial collapse of the credit markets.
@pmango1000 Another … @pmango1000 Another favorite “game” of the rich speculators is just buying up rental properties where the selling price reflects the current rents, then jacking up everyone’s rent.
@pmango1000 Oh, … @pmango1000 Oh, almost forgot, the rich also use a lot of money in real estate speculation, here & abroad. One prime example is the rich buying apartments, converting them into condos (no real renno’s required, just municipal approval), then kick the tenants out & reselling the units at great profits. Doesn’t create jobs, just more profits for the rich.
It’s a form of savings with the added bonus of capital gain
If you had any brain in your head, no one would have to explain all this to you.
@pmango1000 Some … @pmango1000 Some may be invested. Some just play the stock market, & the multinationals they invest in put the money to overseas plants & expansion, some goes into tax free savings accounts or offshore accounts. Much of it may just remain in a bank savings account.
The employment benefits all get spent, & get spent domestically, & get spent almost immediately.
Again I have to explain even the simplest things to you.
@megarational: you … @megarational: you have it all figured out? So when the wealthy dont spend it all they hoard it? hmmm seems to me that $ gets INVESTED…its true, try getting a job from a poor person, ok? Dude, orry but ur theories are so wrong I think I might stop “debating” u. I dont think u get it: when you take $ from the top and give extended unemplyoment benfits to people, its the same as “robbing Peter to pay Paul” LOL, Greenspan? The guy who admits his own Fed policies contributed to the recession?
@pmango1000 The … @pmango1000 The issue is what has the greater stimulus effect, tax cuts, especially those for higher incomes, or temp. extending unempl. benefits.
Those at higher incomes save a portion rather than spending it all. whereas the recipients of empl. benefits would spend virtually all of it, which therefor obviously has a greater stimulus effect. That just makes sense. It is also confirmed by people with 10 thousand times your knowledge & experience, including Zakarwia and Alan Greenspan.
Well, it passed. … Well, it passed. Even though nobody read it, including Reid, Pelosi, and the President. Hey, it’s ALL about his LEGACY.
This man is head over heels in love with himself and can’t go a single hour without seeking personal approval, if not fawning adulation, from people around him.
Well, get a real load of him, because this is the last black president you’ll ever see in your lifetime. He was laughably underqualified and undereducated for the presidency. He’s just a slick-ass socialist fraud.
@megarational:LOL, … @megarational:LOL,50% unemployment benes comes FROM TAXES & other 50% comes from the BUSINESSES who used to employ the unemplyed person & unmeplyonet ADDS to deficit! In fact the continuing extension of unemplyment benefits is one the BIGGEST tax increases on business in history! According to u, lets just have govt dole out $ to everybody so they can spend to “generate taxes” LOL..typical lib thought: not realizing govt $ comes from PRIVATE business. It is pretty simple but u cannot grasp it
