   i had forgotten …
   i had forgotten about Herb Alpert, until I heard his name mentioned today. I immediately googled his name – found him alive and healthy on youtube.com … what memories!!! My aunt introduced him to our household in the ’60’s, and had a steady stream of Herb Alpert music in our house. I think she bought most of his albums. What a joy to relive all those classic tunes on youtube.com!!

   I saw Herb Alpert …
   I saw Herb Alpert and Lani Hall in Philadelphia in the spring and I agree – what a show. In an intimate setting it was one of the best I’ve ever seen and playing their CD is just the best. I loved Herb Alpert and the TJB from when I was a young kid and my dad bought the Tijuana Taxi “album.” What wonderful humanitarians and keepers of the arts.
