One individual changing the world for the better is internationally acclaimed film and stage actor Jason Scott Lee, who is making an inspiring effort to live more sustainably off the grid–and on water catchment–at his natural taro farm on the Big Island of Hawaii. A great example of how everyone can make changes in our daily lives that improve the health of the environment and our relationship with our fellow beings. Please visit www.LivingPono.com. The cynical side of …
The cynical side of me was going to say, that’s very respectful of him, but he has the money to afford to live like this. He has that backup. But, then I thought about it, any one of us, if we believed in it, we could achieve it. I think most of us have lost our way. We live amid concrete and asphalt. Our spirits are drowned by technology. And I’m sure most of us now see where consumerism has gotten us. I’ve strayed too far from nature. I’ve felt empty for too long now. And I think I know why.
